Prototype future ocean imaginaries through science fiction. μSFP (Micro-SFP)

The result of a unique collaboration between Radical Ocean Futures, TBA21 Thyssen Bornemisza Art Contemporary and Inferstudio, this event organized in collaboration with MAMAC is based on the postulate that science fiction can sometimes succeed where scientific articles fail.

How can we work collectively in favour of a more sustainable ocean if we do not have visionary and convincing imaginations of future alternative species that challenge us and stimulate our own imagination?

Participants will be invited to experience a collective experience, to discover three interconnected short films, to discuss and contribute, using new scientific narration tools to experiment with alternative future for the world ocean.

This approach aims to mobilize our collective power to develop bold strategies and policies to ensure the future of our planet’s largest and important ecosystem.
