The exhibition “L’Océan Vivant” jointly carried by Laurent Loiseau curator of exhibition, the city of Nice and the Metropolis was held in February 2024 to be broadcast on the Grilles of the Senate (Jardin du Luxembourg) in Paris.
This project honours 2 major naturalist photographers niçois that are Greg Lecoeur and Olivier Anrigo through83 photographswhose rights were acquired by the city of Nice and the Metropolis.
The event of the exhibition proposes a global ocean exploration on a balanced rhythm between marine, submarine, terrestrial and air images, between landscapes, animals, flora and populations, the actors of the sea that draw their subsistence from the sea and suffer the effects of warming in full whip.
The beauty of images is the driving thread of a tram that leads from one pole to another, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean, which concentrates a quarter of the world marine fauna on 1% of the ocean surface.
Its exceptional biodiversity is the subject of all the attention not only of the photographers, but also of the territorial communities involved in the actions carried out within the Pelagos sanctuary.
