Baleti!

Balèti is a cultural tradition in the Niçoise region, which is an integral part of social and festive life.

This is a festive event where people meet to dance and celebrate local culture.

During a Balèti, the traditional music of Niçoise is in honor. Typical instruments include the accordion, the wheel vial (the medieval vial spring), the drum and sometimes the guitar. The singers perform traditional songs in the Niçoise language, often accompanied by rhythms that invite to dance!

The dance practiced during the Balètis is usually the "round dance" or the "couple dance", where the participants stand by hand or shoulder and follow traditional dance steps. This form of dance promotes social interaction and creates a friendly and warm atmosphere.
