In 1948, when he returned from exile to the United States,Marc Chagallsettled on the Côte d’Azur in Vence, where he lived until 1965. He settled permanently in Saint-Paul-de-Vence where he stayed at the villa “La Colline” from 1966 until his death in 1985. During this period, Chagall implements numerous monumental projects such as stained glass, mosaics andgivesone of his favorite techniques,lithography.
