Eolian, nuclear, photovoltaic: what energy in 2035-2050?

Meeting with Robin Girard,Professor at the Ecole des Mines in Paris and works at Sophia Antipolis in the Centre Procédés, Renewable Energy and Energy Systems.

Electricity production will play an increasingly important role in decarbonizing our energy systems. In France, we have a historic nuclear park that allows low-carbon electricity but is ageing, and we develop renewable energy (wind and photovoltaic) as well as new nuclear power plants (EPR). These two sources of energy are causing very strong tensions in France, but where do these tensions come from? What are the issues, the risks we take?
