Contemporary dance
This course is for amateur dancers, musicians and anyone interested in the movement.
We start from an inner look with special attention to our feeling to refine the perception and prepare the moving of the body and the imagination smoothly.
How by staying in an abstraction of the movement, the body touches the universal and reveals a universe linking us to the world and to our interiority.
Laurence Marthouret, Choreographer and interpreter holds the graduate degree in writing and analysis of the movement of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and the state diploma for the teaching of contemporary dance. She studies the fundamentals of the Laban-Bartenieff analysis technique with Marie-Christine Gheorghiu and the Technical Release with Greg Lara, Shelley Center and Irene Ultman members of the Trisha Brown Dance Company. It develops a sensitive and organic universe where it questions the body in its space and musical environment. From 1999 she launched the "5 solos" series where she explores constraints as a fundamental parameter to choreographic writing: No Step, Trans, Walk, Monade and Meltem
