Bartleby

Spectacle-lecture of the work of Hermann Melville

Organized byCultural meetings of the Cessole Foundation

A man, Bartleby, is hired as a copist in a WallStreet firm... Very quickly, this modest employee opposes every request of his boss the same, amazing formula: "I would prefer not to..." I would prefer not to... These words trigger a storm...

Fable comedy, tragic fable, Bartleby, at every rereading, enriched himself with new mysteries.
